Matthew has been helping people make informed financial decisions for over 30 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara with honors. He then worked his way up the ranks at both Norwest and Wells Fargo Financial to become one of the highest-performing District Managers in the United States. In 2001, Matthew joined South Bay Equity Lending as President & Owner and continues to manage the business to this day. He holds a California Broker license.

South Bay Equity Lending is a loan brokerage firm that handles all types of real estate secured loans including: commercial, residential, lines of credit, 2nd and 3rd mortgages, land, investment, construction, mixed-use or multi-use property, industrial, and venture capital.

Matthew is active in his community and church. For the past 11 years he has coached youth basketball at Saint Lawrence Martyr School and in the Torrance City Leagues. At Saint Lawrence Martyr, Matt is a member of the Parish Finance Council, has been Chairman of the SLM Golf Tournament and served as President of the Parent Teacher Board this past school year.

Matthew is an avid hiker. In 1998, he began a quest to hike the Pacific Crest Trail, from Mexico to Canada. Each year he dedicates 2-3 weeks to hiking a section of the trail. Matt started this hike at the U.S. – Mexico border 21 years ago. He will reach the Washington-Canadian border this fall and celebrate the completion of an incredible journey.

Matthew lives in Redondo Beach with his wife Dana and their three children.
